National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week 2026

Homefull is a non-profit organization based out of Dayton, Ohio, helping people in their community who are experiencing housing instability, food insecurity, and those seeking support finding employment.

Homefull has been serving communities in Ohio for 38 years. Founded as The Other Place, the organization helped those experiencing homelessness to turn to for support and eventually expanded its services into additional community needs and transitioned to Homefull in 2010.

Homefull works to provide housing and financial assistance for single adults and families with children who are already homeless or at risk of losing their home. In 2025, Homefull opened Gettysburg Grocery, a non-profit, full-service grocery store designed to serve those in need. In addition to addressing housing and food insecurity, they also provide opportunities for individuals to participate in training programs and work with local employers to achieve employment stability.
