Piada Spotlight | Jermaine Beauchamp
April 16, 2020
During a time when the good things in life can be overshadowed by challenges, we wanted to take a moment to share a little positivity and recognize one of the hardest working individuals in our company.
Our people and their individuality are what make this company diverse and unique. They are the lifeblood of everything we do. Insert Jermaine. Aspiring fashionista and rockstar Chef at Piada Memorial in Houston, TX. Known for his contagious smile, Jermaine’s example of Genuine Hospitality made him an easy choice for a Piada Spotlight.
When Jermaine joined Piada as a Team Member, management quickly recognized his desire to provide Guests with a memorable experience. In just seven months, Jermaine was promoted to Supervisor.
“Seeing other people happy never fails to put a smile on my face. At Piada, I always try to go above and beyond to make sure Guests leave happy. I want people to remember the experience they had at Piada so they will want to come back and feel at home each time they visit.”
Outside of Piada, Jermaine loves fashion and designing clothes. His long-term plan? Take his passion for fashion to Los Angeles and create his own clothing label.
“I just got a sewing machine and I'm slowly learning how to use it so I can design and wear my own clothes. I just made my first pair of stack jeans from one of my old pair and I love the way they turned out. On my days off, I take my sewing machine out, get on YouTube and learn the basics as I experiment with modifications to my own clothes.”
Jermaine’s dream is to spend plenty of time on the beach and in the sunshine - and to one day work with some of his favorite celebrities. He’s learned to balance his time so that he can develop his skills, fulfill his dreams and accomplish amazing things.
“Even while working full-time at Piada, it’s important that I make time for the things I really love doing. It would be a dream to style celebrities like Drake or Nicki Minaj one day!”
Jermaine's passion for life is infectious and we can’t wait to see everything he accomplishes at Piada and in his fashion career. Come visit Chef Jermaine at 5801 Memorial Dr. in Houston. Thanks Jermaine!
