Drive can’t be taught. You have to find it deep within yourself. It’s what pushes you to grind and chase your dreams when it’s easier to just be complacent.

When we highlight our people, we choose to acknowledge individuals who have gone above and beyond and deserve the recognition.

Insert Avi. One of the hardest working and dedicated individuals on our team. Avi grew up in the beautiful city of Acapulco, Mexico, but moved to College Station, TX 19 years ago where he grew to love and embrace the town’s community, culture and passion.

Before having kids, Avi was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to ride with friends. He decided to sell his bike when he started a family because he wanted to make sure he was always there to provide for them.

“Starting a family was the proudest moment of my life. It’s important to me that my son and daughter receive an excellent education and have the ability to attend a great school like Texas A&M here in College Station.”

Avi’s Piada journey began two years ago. If you ask his teammates, what sets him apart is his drive. Avi’s can-do attitude, team mentality, passion to learn and dedication to doing things right haven’t gone unnoticed. In fact, Avi was quickly recognized by Piada’s leadership for his outstanding work ethic and was promoted to Supervisor in just 6 months.

“When I first started, I’d sneak around on the line and try to learn all the positions. I wanted to learn as much as I could. When management asked me to step up to Supervisor, I was really excited because it felt like my hard work was paying off.”

When Avi clocks out at night, he’s proud of what his Team accomplished because he knows they gave it their all.

“I feel proud every day when I leave Piada knowing that I completed everything to the best of my ability and helped my team succeed. It makes me feel good after a hard day’s work to look back at my team’s accomplishments. We do our best every day.”

Avi’s biggest takeaway from his years at Piada?

“Treat people as you want to be treated. It makes me feel good to treat people right because I'd want the same thing for myself. Everyone wants to feel important, and I like doing that for others.”

Avi’s advice for a new Piada Team Member trying to grow their career?

“Work hard. If you want good things in your life, always work hard. Be honest and put in the work. Leadership will recognize your work ethic which will lead to even more opportunities to grow.”

In five years, Avi aspires to be a Partner of his own Piada location, with the ultimate dream of one day running a successful business of his own. Recently, Avi started building a carpet cleaning company and is eager to see where it goes.
