New handcrafted beverages bring fresh summer flavors to Piada beginning June 2
Columbus, OH, June 2, 2026 – Piada Italian Street Food, the nation’s leading fast-casual Italian restaurant concept, today announced it is bringing fresh summer flavors to its beverage lineup with the launch of its new Summer Fresca beverages and customizable Italian crème-style "dirty soda" additions beginning Tuesday, June 2 through mid-September.
Inspired by the growing "field-to-beverage" trend and the bright flavors of summer farmers markets, Piada's new Summer Fresca blends watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries and a hint of lemon into a refreshing seasonal drink available for $4.25. Guests can enjoy the Summer Fresca as is or make it "dirty" with Piada's Coconut Cold Foam, the brand's premium non-dairy coconut cream topping, for an indulgent twist on the summer beverage.
"Summer is all about fresh, vibrant flavors that feel both nostalgic and refreshing," said Dawn McClung, Manager of Culinary Innovation at Piada Italian Street Food. "We wanted to take familiar summer fruits and put our own spin on them. The cantaloupe adds a subtle sweetness and unexpected twist that makes the drink uniquely Piada."
Piada is also introducing a new way for guests to customize any fountain beverage in-store with its Italian crème-style "dirty soda" addition. For an additional 75 cents, guests can add Coconut Cold Foam to any soda for a richer, dessert-inspired experience. Unlike traditional dirty sodas, Piada's version features a thicker whipped coconut cream with a subtle tropical flavor designed to elevate classic soda combinations, including customizable favorites like Dirty Dr Pepper.
"We're leaning into the dirty soda trend, but making it our own," McClung said. "Our Coconut Cold Foam transforms a refreshing beverage into something more indulgent while still feeling light and craveable."
To celebrate the launch, Piada will host a Summer Fresca Launch Party Pop-Up at Lynd Fruit Farm's Market on Morse (9399 Morse Road SW, Pataskala, OH) 43062on Friday, June 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can sample the new Summer Fresca, receive exclusive Piada swag while supplies last, and enter to win prizes including Free Piada for a Year, a $100 Lynd Fruit Farm gift card, and a $100 gift basket by scanning a QR code at the event. Attendees will also receive postcards featuring a free Summer Fresca offer and limited-edition sticker packs.
The celebration extends beyond the pop-up event. On June 12, every guest who purchases a Summer Fresca at any Piada location nationwide will be automatically entered for a chance to win Free Piada for a Year, with one winner selected from purchases made at the Lynd Fruit Farm event and one winner selected from qualifying loyalty purchases made online or in-store. Piada will also award 50 free entrees through the promotion.
The Summer Fresca beverages and dirty soda customizations will be available at all Piada locations nationwide from June 2 through mid-September. Guests can order Summer Fresca both ways in-store and online, and guests who want to make their fountain or tea beverages dirty can order in-store only.
Guests who order a Summer Fresca between June 2 and June 8 will earn an exclusive Golden Badge and 100 bonus points through Piada Rewards. A standard Summer Fresca badge will remain available for the duration of the seasonal beverage offering.
