WE ARE FAMILY // The LeBron James Family Foundation

The LeBron James Family Foundation serves the Akron community by funding educational and co-curricular activities for local youth through its I PROMISE Program. With each new store opening, we aim to make a positive impact in our local communities. And what better way than through the LeBron James Family Foundation for Piada Akron's Grand Opening?

A few days prior to our Grand Opening, we opened our doors for a private tasting for two Foundation families.

They were selected by the Foundation for their impeccable rate of participation and represented in their “WE ARE FAMILY” tees.

Our Team Members also repped the WE ARE FAMILY tees.

The Foundation families sampled our sides and beverages, and were fed delicious meals.

WKYC3 was even there to interview our families.

The private tasting was a success! Next up - our Grand Opening.

The line was to the door all day. It even wrapped around our dining room throughout most of the evening. Needless to say, the community of Akron kept us busy ;)

We matched every dollar donated to the Foundation at the register during Piada Akron's first week. With the community's help, we raised $5,000 for The LeBron James Family Foundation.

Basketball hoops were set up outside the store and Guests had the opportunity to win Free Piada for a Year or a pair of LeBron James game-worn shoes.
