Piada Spotlight | Cole Ransom
November 4, 2024
Meet Cole, Piada Training Content Specialist and Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
Cole has recently joined Team Piada, but has been active in the Air Force for the past 8 years. Joining right out of High School, Cole has enjoyed his time serving and working for our country.
On a trip to San Diego to visit his uncle who is stationed in the Marines, Cole had the opportunity to learn more about joining the service. With other members of his family being veterans, Cole has always had an interest in serving.
Cole worked as an avionics technician while he was deployed in Guam in early 2020. He has worked on many varieties of aircraft, helping ensure they were safe for service, and often refueling fighter jets while in flight. Cole also has a knack for training and said “There are a lot of good leadership qualities I’ve taken away from my time in the Air Force. A few of the leaders I had were really great and helped me learn an effective way to lead and teach.”
Cole’s passion for his service stems from the core values he’s learned while in the Air Force. Cole says, “The core ideals of the Air Force are sacrifice, integrity, and camaraderie. Learning how to do the job correctly is really important so when you’re on your own, you’re doing your job effectively.”
Cole accredits his time in the Air Force for introducing him to one of his best friends, going to college, and allowing him to travel. He’s had the opportunity to travel internationally and has enjoyed taking photos all over the world.
His experience in aircraft training and the qualities he’s learned during his time in the service has helped him bring new perspectives and experience to the Piada Training team. "I really enjoyed training with the McKinney team and being there for opening day. It was an awesome collaborative experience, and it was so rewarding to see it all come together" Cole says. The next time you visit your local Piada, try Cole's go-to order: Spaghetti Marinara with Meatballs, and add bruschetta tomatoes and spinach.
Cole says “I’m really grateful for the time I had in the Air Force. As someone who didn’t really know what I wanted to do out of high school, I had the opportunity to learn lots of skills, and make friends.”
Thank you so much to Cole and all of those who have and continue to serve our country. We are so grateful for your service today and every day.
